We are all part of a single life-force on Planet Earth.
Vita Religion teaches that all the living things on Earth are parts of a single super-organism called Imperium vitae-planeta - shortened to Vitae-planeta.
Vitae-planeta is also known as Pananima.
Vitae-planeta is a spiritual embodiment of the biosphere, a thin-walled sphere of life located on the surface of planet Earth.
Vitae-planeta exists where life is, from kilometers below the deepest part of the ocean to the tops of the tallest clouds.
Vitae-planeta suggests that humans and all other living beings can be thought of as cells in a body with responsibilities to care for the interests of the host.
The trees and the bees, the whales and the snails all contribute to the well-being of the whole, and so can we humans. Free-will gets in the way of this, so we most choose to protect nature.
As a living organism,Vitae-planeta displays homeostasis which is the ability to regulate temperature and chemical equilibrium of her body to ensure conditions optimal for life to flourish. Human activities (e.g. burning fossil fuels and the destruction of habitat) have made Vitae-planeta sick, and her temperature is rising.
It is incumbent upon us all to bring Vitae-planeta back to full health and for this we must participate in Earthwork.
Some people may know Vitae-planeta by the name Gaia, as per Gaia Theory. Names from other cultures describing an embodiment of nature include: Mother Nature, Pachamama, the Living Planet.Terra Mater, Bhudevi, Tiamat, Tellus, Terra, Demeter, Great Spirit, Aretmis, Natura, World Soul, Anima Mundi, Rainbow Serpent, Gaea, Izanami. These are all more or less the same thing as Vitae-planeta.
