Spaceman Zem comes to Earth with $20 trillion to bankroll the sustainability transition. Based in Dubai, he plans a huge global climate conference with the UN. Running interference on his scheme is an American oil man and a foxy redhead called Megan.
The moral of Intervene is that there is no spaceman coming to save us, and we are going to have to deal with the oilmen, ourselves.

The UN Convention for Biodiversity COP-15 event in Montreal December 2022 is arguably one of the most important gatherings of humans ever, as here will be decided the relationship between civilization and the rest of nature for the coming crucial decades.
Vita Sapien's mission at CBD COP-15 is to foster ecophany amongst the delegates - to create a spiritual awakening to our Living Planet that will enthuse people to work harder to protect the biosphere. People who are motivated spiritually to protect the planet dive deeper, go faster and succeed more often than the rest.
Vita Sapien is practiced in the language of nature spirituality and seeks to connect people to this diaphanous veil that stands between an abundant Living Planet and the looming abyss of the Anthropocene Crisis.

Convention for Biological Diversity
Formed at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, the Convention for Biological Diversity (UN CBD) is the sister organization to the UN's climate body, the Framework Convention for Climate Change (UN FCCC)
Bi-Annual COP
The CBD gathers environment ministers from around the world every two years to work towards a global agreement regarding the relationship between humans and nature. These meetings are called Conference of the Parties or COPs. This year is the fifteenth CBD COP.
COP-15 in Montreal , Quebec, Canada
CBD COP-15 was planned to be held in the city of Kunming, China in 2020, but it was delayed multiple times due to covid. So, the COP was split into two parts, an online version in October 2021, and in-person version planned for Montreal 7 - 19 December 2022. The theme of COP-15 is "Ecological Civilization: building a shared future for all life on Earth."
Kunming Declaration
At COP-15 world leaders will gather to sign off on a Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework that is enshrined in the Kunming Declaration, a global agreement to protect the diversity of life on Earth. The Kunming Declaration is like the Paris Agreement, but for biodiversity, instead of climate. Read the Kunming Declaration.
Vita Sapien attends COP-15
The CBD Secretariat has accepted five Vita Sapien delegates as observers to COP-15. Two Vita Sapien delegates will attend in-person.
Vita Sapien views CBD COP-15 as one of the most important gatherings of humans in history because here will be decided the terms of the relationship between humans and nature in the critical decades where we either transform our civilization and stay, or fail to transform and perish along with most other species on Earth.
With environment ministers from hundreds of countries attending COP-15 to finalize the text of the Kunming Declaration, Vita Sapien's concern is that these bureaucrats will negotiate the relationship between humans and the Living Planet using politics and economics as their primary motivators. Vita Sapien believes that delegates will deliver a much more sustainable agreement if they are motivated by a spiritual affection for our Living Planet.
So, at COP-15, Vita Sapien will share ecological spirituality and hopefully change the trajectory of human civilization.
