Why beeswax figurines
Beeswax is a wonderful, natural material that is exuded from the abdomen of young worker bees.
Beeswax is used to create the honeycomb in which honey is stored and baby bees are hatched.
Beeswax is a byproduct of the honey production process and is usually used to make candles.

Will Dahlia melt?

Caring for Dahlia & Jasper
Dahlia and Jasper are made of beeswax which is suscptible to melt high temperatures. At 60 degrees celcius, the pieces will become malleable and at 65 plus, they will turn to liquid.
These are not temperatures you would normally find in a house, but inside a car left out in the hot sun it is possible.
If the pieve is damaged, you can gently press your fingertips into the wax to mould it back into shape.
If the piece gets dirty, wash with luke warm soapy water and rinse.
How the pieces are made
First comes the conception of the idea and from this a project brief with some sketches and representative photos. Next comes the guy with the digital 3D design skills who creates a 3D file in and exports in .stl format. Then the .stl file is sent to a 3D printer and a physical print is made from PLA filament. Then the model is submerged in liquid silicone that goes hard when set to form the mould. Beeswax is melted, natural dyes are added, and the mix is poured hot into the mould. After several hours, the mix has cooled, and Dahlia or Jasper emerges fresh and new from the mould helping you to be strong, and the best you can be.
